The Psychologist behind neurothread
Chloe Willats
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST & DIRECTOR
Hi, I’m Chloe (she/her), a Clinical Psychologist who works with clients aged 15 and over. I’m passionate about creating an affirming, inclusive, and compassionate space where people feel safe to explore their inner worlds, express their identities, and move toward meaningful change. My practice is grounded in the belief that therapy should be a collaborative process—where you’re in the driver’s seat, and I’m alongside you, gently helping to guide, support, and encourage you along the way.
My therapeutic style is warm, person-centred, and grounded in authenticity and openness. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), tailoring the approach to each client’s goals and preferences.
My work is neurodiversity-affirming, sex-positive, kink-affirming, and welcoming of non-monogamous and sex worker communities.
In therapy, my aim is to help you build insight, develop practical tools, and reconnect with what matters most to you. Whether you're working through specific challenges or wanting to better understand yourself, I offer a space that is curious, respectful, and centred around your values.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my two dogs who regularly remind me of the power of presence, play, and unconditional acceptance.
